Series 2 AEM EMS install kit for 1993-1995 RX-7
The AEM EMS can be found on winning autocross, drag, drift, road-race and time-attack cars across the US and around the world. People have designed kits to install the EMS on other vehicles such as BMW, Lotus, and Porsche. Since AEM does not offer a Series2 EMS for the FD RX-7, we have engineered our own plug-and-play kit using a custom circuit board that fits an AEM Series2 EMS inside the OEM Mazda ECU enclosure.
The AEM EMS has many features that are useful for the RX-7, including fast USB communications, slick interface software, on-board datalogging, closed-loop O2 feedback, on-board boost control including gear-based or throttle-based boost targets, and flexible outputs that allow sequential twin-turbo control.
This kit can support additional sensor inputs by adding new pins or wires to the factory RX-7 harness. With the correct sensors installed, you can log fuel pressure, oil pressure, exhaust backpressure, turbocharger speed, air temperature before and after the intercooler, oil temperature, coolant temperature before and after the radiator, or Exhaust Gas Temperature.
The circuit board was designed to allow custom wiring of 3-rotor swaps, sequential ignition outputs, additional injectors, additional cooling fans, hall-effect cam/crank sensor conversions (please mention hall-effect sensors before ordering), and front and rear wheel speed inputs (please mention spare wheel speeds before ordering).
